  • Exercise is good for your health
  • Exercise helps reduce your blood pressure
  • Exercise helps increase your good cholesterol
  • Exercise is good for your blood sugar levels
  • Exercise is good for your bones
  • Exercise burns fat
  • You should do 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days a week
  • Moderate exercise means you get warm and a little out of breath
  • If you cannot do 30 minutes of exercise at first, start with 10 minutes and work your way up
  • This will build your stamina

Tips to get more active

  • Get off the bus 1 or 2 stops early and walk
  • Use the stairs instead of the lift
  • Walk short distances instead of driving
  • Do housework faster, it’s good exercise
  • Exercise with a friend
